Hello, my semester has just began this week, so my homework load may delay posts. But anyways, today I am talking about a series I grew up watching, and is still, in my opnion one of the best animes on the market. Digimon. Today I am talking about the first season ONLY.
Seven young kids: Taichi “Tai” Kamiya, Yamato “Matt” Ishida, his little brother; Takeru “TK” Takaishi Sora Takenouchi, Koushiro “Izzy” Izumi, Mimi Tachikawa, Joe Kido went to camp for the summer. After a freak blizzard in the middle of July, these kids find themselves in a jungle, but they all have a small companion with them, claiming to be a “digimon” short for Digital Monster. These kids begin a quest to discover why they were brought to this place, they come to find is called the “Digital World” and how to get back home.
The kids also find that their partners can ‘digivolve’ to a stronger form to protect their human partner.
This series is based on a series of Virtual Pets called “Digimon the first of which released in 1997. (America only got the first one) It was released by Bandai. The series began as a movie short (the first part of the movie in America) and got a series in 1997. The english version was produced by Saban and it originally aired on Fox Kids.
