Hello, Today I am talking about a series coming to Toonami later on this year. I have heard March but I am unsure if that is accurate. The seires is called Blue Exorcist. or Ao no Exorcist as a literal translation.
This series follows Rin Okumura (Voiced by Bryce Papenbrook) and his twin brother, Yukio (Voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch) They are literally the spawn of Satan. Yukio, who showed no signs of demonic powers became an exorcist like their foster father, Father Shiro Fujimoto. Rin showed potential for demonic power, but it was sealed away in a sword, thus allowing him to be human. After Satan caused Fujimoto’s death Rin wanted to become an exorcist . Rin’s wording changes from the manga to anime, using stronger wording in the anime, If I remember correctly, depending on if it is the manga or anime he says that he will either Kick Satan’s ___ or he will kick the ___ out of Satan. Rin is accepted to attend to school to become an exorcist, but not everyone is fond of the idea of a demon being an exorcist.
Despite Rin being so immature, he is in fact the older twin. This is a great series with 10 volumes of the manga (I think) out with the next scheduled for March last I heard. The anime has some other good VA’s such as Kyle Herbert . It has aired on Neon Alley and may still be there although I am unsure.
